2.1 Who we are
WataaTube Media Ltd. is the controller of personal data processed through wataatube.com. Contact: wataatube@proton.me, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
2.2 Data we collect
- Account data: username, email, password hash.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processors; we receive limited details (transaction ID, last digits, status). We do not store full card numbers.
- Creator data: legal name, date of birth, ID documents, payout details, and consent/release records (see 2257 and Creator Terms).
- Usage data: pages viewed, videos watched, searches, likes and comments.
- Device data: IP address, browser, device type, language, approximate location.
- Age assurance data: results from our age verification provider (see Age Assurance Policy).
- Communications: messages you send us.
2.3 Why we use it (and legal basis, for UK/EU users)
- Provide the Site and your account (contract).
- Process payments and prevent fraud (contract, legitimate interests).
- Verify age and creator identity (legal obligation, legitimate interests).
- Moderate content and keep people safe (legal obligation, legitimate interests).
- Improve the Site and recommend videos (legitimate interests).
- Marketing emails (consent, where required; you can opt out any time).
- Cookies and advertising (consent where required; see Cookie Notice).
2.4 Sharing
We share data only with: hosting and CDN providers; payment processors; age verification providers; analytics and advertising partners (subject to your cookie choices); professional advisers; and authorities where legally required or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal data for money.
2.5 Sensitive nature of the Site
Your viewing activity may be sensitive. We do not use special-category data for targeted advertising, and we encourage private browsing if you share a device.
2.6 International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country. Where required we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
2.7 Retention
We keep data only as long as needed: account data until deletion plus 6 months; payment records for 7 years; creator ID and consent records for at least 7 years after the content was last produced or removed (or longer if the law requires); logs for 90 days.
2.8 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and object to processing or withdraw consent. California residents may also know/delete/correct and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. Contact wataatube@proton.me. You may complain to your data protection authority (UK: ICO).
2.9 Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), access controls, and active monitoring. No system is completely secure.
2.10 Children
The Site is strictly prohibited for anyone under 18. If we learn we hold data of a minor, we delete it immediately and permanently block access.
